Days 35- 37: Goings on in the front of the house

So the outside being mostly done, we've had some goings on in the sun room and master bedroom.
Here's the front:

First Floor (Sun room):

The walls are kind of blueish grayish white (Ben Moore's LOOKOUT POINT), and doing MARSCAPONE for all trim work, and going with a sage-y tile. Looks a little dark in pics, but I think it will be really pretty.

In general going for a fresh outdoorsy sun room, something peaceful and different from the very warm rest of the first floor. Like a vacation from the house.

Meanwhile, upstairs:

Days 30-37: The Kitchen Begins to Form

So the color is going to look a little bland because the walls are still 90% primed or spackled but this is Ben Moore's LANCASTER WHITE. I liked it because it was neutral but warm. I want to eventually do a glaze but in case that's on my honey never do list, I wanted to be happy with the color as is as well.

Also, yes, I know, it all looks the same and really unless you have been in the house, hard to tell what's what... but I tried to include some establishing shots, but yeah here are some pics of the kitchen and the changes happening there!

This is the wall you are looking at if you walk in the back door:

Turning to your left...

This is the wall that is between the kitchen and dining room (back door to your left and living room to your right.):

This is the wall between the kitchen and outside (aka opposite the one you just looked at):

Here is the wide view if you were standing by the side door entrance to the kitchen (or standing near where those first cabinets are that you saw) looking at the back door:

Turning a bit to the right...

Now the side door entrance has always been a little cramped. No matter what we do we will have a little more room but the big question was... forgo counter to open door all the way?

Or forgo wide door opening to have counter?

We opted for counter. Seemed unnatural to not have enough counter to the right of the sink for stacking dirty dishes.

On a side note, will I never be through with this wallpaper?

Day 24-26: New Siding!

So I know I skip a few days, and it's not that nothing is getting done... it's just that I already probably over chronicallize, and you don't want to see my new fire alarms.

Also, in putting on siding, we had some window casualties. Now although our contractor offered to fix (supposedly for free but who knows how they bury those charges), he also was able to find windows on sale that fit, and so, we decided the best was to replace the three windows:

Check us out in our first snow:

Day 22: Steps

Not a whole lot to report on this one... some progress on the stairs.
I am actually pretty psyched about this.
1) it means we can use these doors.
2) I had no idea what it would look like. The stone for steps was one of the parts that I didn't really take issue on and let the contractor just use what fit in the budget without question. And well- I LOVE 'EM!

Day 21: Bedrooms and other Interior News

Here's where we are currently living:

Funny thing being... you may not even be able to tell from pics but we have more closet space and storage now, and I could totally set up a side table and a dresser and tall chest in there. What's crazy is our future room is double this!

Speaking of storage and room, our sweet attic access is in place:
